Grounding technique through visualization

Grounding is a technique that allows many things: self-confidence development, better management of stress, being in the present moment, coping with external events of the day, being stable while facing difficult people, etc.

Practice every day when you wake up (even if you only have 5 minutes!)

Sit on the edge of your bed or stand up with both bare feet firmly on the floor and stretch out to be conscious that the night is over and a new day has begun.

While breathing calmly, with your back straight, eyes closed, hands on the thighs, still with both bare feet touching the ground, visualize your feet sinking slightly and two roots coming out of your soles, sinking into the earth.

Focus on your roots, which are getting stronger and stronger, descending as they branch out. Visualize their strength, feel the energy flowing through each of them.

Your roots connect you deeply with the ground; they descend while strengthening themselves even more.

With each breath, feel the energy flowing from the roots to your feet, up to your legs, throughout your body, and up to your arms. A powerful energy flows from the tip of each of them to your head. You feel more and more stable and grounded.

While breathing deeply and calmly, continue to imagine the roots becoming more and more vigorous and powerful until you reach the center of the earth.

When you feel well connected to the depth of the ground, think about an intention such as “I am well grounded, I am safe for this new day, and I am enjoying every present moment” or “I am well-grounded for this new day and I am ready to start it” or “I am grounded for the rest of the day and I have confidence in myself during it”.

The goal is to create an intention that connects the grounding and its impact on the day, which begins.

A daily practice will quickly help you to be more confident in everyday life’s situations and to be less stressed.

There are other techniques that help you to be grounded such as: Hiking in nature, Walking bare feet on grass or the ground, Meditation, Laughing with friends, Engaging in physical activities, Practice yoga, Gardening…

It is also possible to use grounding crystals during a session that will be placed on the root chakra (between the thighs at the level of the perineum). Ex: black obsidian, hematite, red jasper.
