Dry Bathing Technique

"Dry bathing", is an energetic cleansing technique used to clear away negative or stagnant energy. It's similar to the symbolic action of washing off unwanted energy and can be repeated several times, depending on how much cleansing feels necessary. This quick and easy self-care practice that can be performed anywhere, making it a convenient way to regain balance when needed.

 

Technique Instructions:

 

  1. Start in a Calm State: Stand or sit in a comfortable position. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself.

  2. Right Hand Over Left Shoulder: Place your right hand on your left shoulder. In a sweeping motion, EXHALE while bringing your hand diagonally down across your body to your right hip, as if brushing something off.

  3. Left Hand Over Right Shoulder: Now, place your left hand on your right shoulder, and in the same diagonal sweeping motion, EXHALE while bringing your hand down to your left hip.

  4. Repeat Across the Arms: Extend your right arm in front of you. With your left hand, EXHALE while sweeping from your right shoulder down along your right arm to your fingertips. Repeat this with your left arm, using your right hand to brush down to your fingertips.

 

Suggested Frequency:

 

  • Daily or Nightly Routine: To cleanse and promote a sense of well-being.

  • After Challenging Situations: When feeling energetically impacted by others or the environment.

  • As Needed: Whenever feeling out of balance, overwhelmed, or energetically heavy.
